Chris Powell: Poised for a return?
Watford make their first ever trip to Arsenal's Emirates Stadium in good spirits, and buoyed by the news that experienced ex-England defender, Chris Powell has recovered from a calf problem.

Powell is expected to challenge Jordan Stewart for the left back berth but manager, Aidy Boothroyd must make do without long term injury victim, Clarke Carlisle (thigh) and James Chambers, loaned this week to Coca-Cola Championship pacesetters, Cardiff City.

Arsenal has a number of injury concerns going into the game and are certain to be missing Freddie Ljunberg (calf), Emmanuel Eboue (knee) and Julio Baptista (hamstring) in addition to longer term absentees, Philippe Senderos, Gael Clichy, Lauren and Abou Diaby.

Former Chelsea man, William Gallas is fit and expected to start.
