Foster set for another year at Vicarage Road?

As the end of the season fast approaches all Watford eyes are turning to the play-offs and a possible trip to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

However, an important factor in the Golden Boys rise into play-off contention has been the continuing superb form of on loan Manchester United goalkeeper, Ben Foster, and with his employer's expected to make a decision soon on the immediate future of the Leamington Spa born stopper, the player himself has given the strongest hint yet that he may be back in familiar surroundings next year.

"It's up to Manchester United, but I would love another season on loan here,"

"We're all waiting to see what will happen.

"My agent and I have been talking to them (United) quite a lot recently, and I know the coaching staff there will be having a meeting soon to discuss players for next season.

Since arriving on loan from the Red Devils last August, Foster has matured into one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship, and the 23-year-old is relishing the opportunity of playing first team football every week,

"This season has been my first full season in proper football, and it's been brilliant for my development.

"Playing reserve-team football - as would probably be the case at United - is not the same, and I think it would be better for me if I could go out on loan again."

Foster has missed just two league games this season to date, keeping 8 clean sheets in the process.
