Golden Boys sweating on Bouazza

Watford manager, Aidy Boothroyd will be casting an anxious glance in the direction of the treatment room and Hameur Bouazza ahead of the Golden Boys’ eagerly awaited visit to table topping Reading at the weekend.

The 21-year-old was replaced by Al Bangura at half time against Derby County after picking up a foot injury, and although the winger has had an x-ray, the outcome will not be known until the swelling has gone down.

Bouazza has made a huge impact at Vicarage Road since returning from a three month loan spell at Coca-Cola League One club, Swindon Town earlier in the season, and Boothroyd is full of admiration for the flying Frenchmen,

"Hameur has been excellent recently,"

"That he is keeping Anthony McNamee out of the team proves how well he has been doing.

Going on loan to Swindon allowed him to learn what first-team football was all about. When you are playing in front of decent crowds, you have to grow up.

We hope the injury is not serious."
