It has been confirmed this afternoon that Lincoln City goalkeeper, Scott Loach is to join Watford for an undisclosed fee as soon as the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.

Loach has been in excellent form during a trial at Vicarage Road this week, keeping two clean sheets as Gary Smith's second string recorded back to back Barclays Premiership Reserve League South victories over West Ham United and Fulham.

At 6' 4" the Nottingham born youngster is an imposing figure between the sticks, although he has yet to play in Lincoln City's first team after originally joining the club's Centre of Excellence as an Under 15 player.

Although disappointed to be losing a rising star, manager Keith Alexander, speaking to Lincoln's official site, redimps.co.uk merely reaffirmed the 17-year-old's promise,

“Scott is 17-years-old and has all the attributes required to be a top notch goalkeeper”,

“His sale to Watford is an another fillip for the youth set up and on behalf of everyone at the club I wish him all the best for the future.”
