Hornmets boss Adrian Boothroyd has revealed that as part of his £100,000 move from Leeds to Vicarage Road it was agreed that he could play no part in the two Championship games between the two sides this season.

"When we bought him in August, it was a deal breaker that they didn't want him to play," Boothroyd told BBC Sport.

"They didn't think he was good enough for their team, but they also thought he might score against them, which he probably would have done, knowing him.

"Clarke's really disappointed. He's become a favourite here."
