Watford Football Club has confirmed that defender, Chris Powell missed Saturday trip to Bolton Wanderers after picking up a calf injury.
Powell, 37, is expected to be sidelined until the start of October, which will give Jordan Stewart, who deputised admirably in defeat at the Reebok Stadium at the weekend, an opportunity to further enhance his claims for a regular first team spot.
The injury is a setback for the former Charlton Athletic defender who had been in impressive form in the opening weeks of the season.
