Premier League goals of the week - gameweek 28

Another Premier League gameweek is in the pocket and as always we were treated to plenty of spectacular goals.

Free-flowing team moves were the signature flavour this time around, but don't worry, there were still a few pieces of individual brilliance if that's what gets you going.

Here are the very best strikes of the weekend (and Monday night)...

1. Harvey Barnes vs Leeds

Leeds did not play badly on Saturday, in what was Jesse Marsch's first game at the helm.

However, they still departed Leicester without any points thanks to an excellent move that was eventually finished superbly by Harvey Barnes.

A special mention to the creator Kelechi Iheanacho too, who had only just come on as a substitute. That is some introduction to proceedings.

2. Ollie Watkins vs Southampton

Aston Villa burst in-form Southampton's bubble this weekend, subjecting them to a 4-0 mauling.

Their first goal, scored by Ollie Watkins, set the tone for a memorable afternoon at Villa Park.

This goal was all about the first touch. Villa's Twitter account described it as poetry in motion, and it's hard to disagree with their assessment.

3. Sadio Mane vs West Ham

Admittedly Sadio Mane's winner against West Ham on Saturday evening was not the trickiest finish.

Despite this, it was still a lovely goal, mainly thanks to another terrific assist from Trent Alexander-Arnold – his 11th in the Premier League this season.

After the game, Andy Robertson hinted that it might have been a shot. Even so, it sure looked nice.

4. All the goals in Watford vs Arsenal

Right, we don't normally do this, mainly because it just feels like cheating. However, on this occasion, it is deserved.

All five of the goals scored at Vicarage Road on Sunday were just magical and it is well worth three minutes of your time if you have not watched them back yet.

If we had to choose our favourite, we'd go for Cucho Hernandez's scissor kick. You don't see enough of those these days.

5. Jadon Sancho vs Man City

There wasn't much for Man Utd fans to shout about in Sunday's Manchester derby.

At least Jadon Sancho briefly got their hopes up in the first half, completing a swift counter-attack with a pinpoint curling finish.

The celebration was cold as well.

6. Harry Kane vs Everton

Everton didn't exactly make it hard for Tottenham to score on Monday night, with Spurs helping themselves to no less than five goals.

The pick of the bunch was Harry Kane's second strike. Peeling off behind the defence, he met Matt Doherty's cross with a fine left-footed volley.

We enjoyed it. Frank Lampard probably didn't.
