Premier League team of the week: Gameweek 11

Well, another Premier League gameweek is in the books and what a selection of matches we were treated to.

Kicking off on Friday night we witnessed Southampton get the better of Aston Villa - a result that would ultimately cost Dean Smith his job - and things only got better from there.

The Manchester derby was exciting if one-sided, Burnley secured a point against Chelsea and on Sunday, West Ham continued their incredible start to the campaign by beating Liverpool.

Now the dust has settled, it's time to select 90min's team of the week. Here are the lucky 11 players who made the cut...

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

GK: Ben Foster (Watford) - He may be 38 years young but Ben Foster has still got standout performances in his locker. This was one such occasion, highlighted by a tremendous penalty save from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

RB: Reece James (Chelsea) - Arguably the best right back in the Premier League right now, it was another good day out for James against Burnley - just a shame his Chelsea teammates couldn't take more of their chances.

RCB: Ben White (Arsenal) - Many wondered whether ball-playing defender White would suit a back four. The jury is still out against the big boys, but he was in pretty good nick on Sunday in Arsenal's win over Watford.

LCB: Kurt Zouma (West Ham) - David Moyes' Hammers huffed and puffed over the summer before finally completing the signing of Zouma - but thank goodness they did. Another colossal display against Liverpool was capped by a towering header that bagged West Ham's winner.

LB: Joao Cancelo (Manchester City) - The tag of best left-back in the Premier League has belonged to Andy Robertson for quite some time. Well, it's time to move on over, for now, as Joao Cancelo is in unbelievable form for City. Another star performance helped his side cruise to a derby win over United.

2. Midfielders

DM: Allan (Everton) - In the words of 90min's own Sean Walsh, Allan was "very quick to close down Spurs in midfield. A fine game." Enough said.

RCM: Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace) - The development of Gallagher this season has not only been joyful for Patrick Vieira's Palace, but also for parent club Chelsea - who finally have their answer over whether he's cut out for the big leagues.

LCM: Pablo Fornals (West Ham) - Beating Liverpool isn't for everybody - a 25-game unbeaten run attests to that - but it was just another day out for West Ham and Pablo Fornals. The Spaniard was brilliant, again.

AM: Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) - It's been a whirlwind few months for Silva, who having been on the fringes of the side staring down a possible Etihad exit, is back to being Pep Guardiola's most consistent performer. A classy operator who poured more misery on Manchester United.

3. Forwards

ST: Adam Armstrong (Southampton) - Okay, so it was a great time for Armstrong to come up against an Aston Villa side with absolutely no confidence whatsoever, but you still have to take your chances. That's what the £15m man did here, and in some style too.

ST: Teemu Pukki (Norwich) - Norwich's shocking start to the season has ultimately cost Daniel Farke his job, but at least he bows out on a high after overcoming Brentford. The star turn was Teemu Pukki, whose all-around display reminded us why he became an FPL legend a couple of years ago.
