The Hornets, 2-1 down at the break, were forced to play the last 43 minutes of the game at The Walkers Stadium with just ten men following Clarke Carlisle's dismissal for a second yellow card offence two minutes into the second half.

"With 10 men it shows you what it is all about but I always felt that this team does not know when it is beaten," Boothroyd said after the 2-2 draw.

"I knew we would get a chance and I knew that we would score and we did. It is a massive credit to the players.

"That point might make the difference and lesser teams might have given in."
