Watford predicted lineup vs Brentford - Premier League

Watford will look to maintain the faintest hope of survival when they host Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets look truly down and out as things stand, as six points separate them and safety with seven games remaining. A run of just one victory in their previous seven Premier League outings tells you all you need to know about their chances.

By comparison, Brentford have been pulling away from the relegation scrap in recent weeks, boasting a very impressive four wins in five league fixtures. Here's how Hodgson could set his side up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Ben Foster (GK) - At nearly 40 years of age, Foster is in line for a 12th consecutive Premier League outing this weekend.

Kiko Femenia (RB) - Has held down the right-back spot for the majority of the campaign and looks set for a 24th league outing of the campaign.

Christian Kabasele (CB) - Looks to have got himself in favour with Hodgson and should be kept in the side for a fifth successive start in the league.

Craig Cathcart (CB) - After Samir's horrendous showing last time out, Cathcart can be hopeful of a recall to the side.

Hassane Kamara (LB) - Has largely put in very competent performances over recent weeks, and will certainly retain his place.

2. Midfielders

Moussa Sissoko (CM) - Brings so much energy and physicality to whatever side he plays in; unfortunately for Watford, though, that's not enough.

Imran Louza (CM) - Has been the centrepiece in a distinctly average midfield for recent months, and should be set for another start here.

Juraj Kucka (CM) - Like Sissoko, the Slovakian possesses great tenacity but brings little cutting-edge quality.

3. Forwards

Ismaila Sarr (RW) - Has the capabilities to be a difference-maker, although an injury-affected season hasn't seen him score a league goal since November.

Joao Pedro (ST) - The youngster has given glimpses of potential but is in search of just a third league strike for the term in what would be his third start on the bounce.

Emmanuel Dennis (LW) - Cucho Hernandez is out with a hamstring injury, so Dennis will likely come back into the fold, aiming for double figures in the Premier League.
