Watford predicted lineup vs Everton - Premier League

Watford's relegation back to the Championship was confirmed following their defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The Hornets have known that destiny was likely for some time and now face a suddenly resurgent Everton on Wednesday night with only pride now left for them to play for.

The reverse fixture back in October saw Watford win 5-2, but a repeat may be unlikely.

Here's a look at Roy Hodgson's possible starting XI.

GK: Ben Foster - Has been the usual starter since returning from injury in February, although this could also now be an opportunity for Daniel Bachmann to get a chance.

RB: Kiko Femenia - Expected to hold off competition for his starting spot from Jeremy Ngakia, having often played the full 90 in recent weeks.

CB: Craig Cathcart - Set for a second consecutive start, having been limited to cameo appearances throughout April and for much of March.

CB: Christian Kabasele - Doubts over Samir could see the Belgian return. William Troost-Ekong is another option, having replaced Samir on Saturday.

LB: Adam Masina - Hassane Kamara's suspension will given the Moroccan his first Premier League start since New Year's Day.

CM: Moussa Sissoko - Expected to be the only one of the usual midfield trio to be available for this one and needs to give a captain's performance.

CM: Edo Kayembe - Deputised for Imran Louza last time out and is likely to continue. Hasn't played as much as he would have hoped since his January arrival.

CM: Peter Etebo - Back on the bench at the weekend and could get a chance as a result of enforced absences in midfield. Has had an injury-ravaged season.

RW: Ismaila Sarr - This final stretch of the season could secure him a summer move, but hasn't been his usual self since injury problems began back in November.

ST: Joshua King - Scored a hat-trick against his former club at Goodison Park, although he has scored only twice since then and not at all since the end of November.

LW: Emmanuel Dennis - Watford's chief goal threat has continued to look a step above in an otherwise poor team this season.
