Watford predicted lineup vs Man Utd - Premier League

Watford host Manchester United in the Premier League as domestic matters return after the international break.

Claudio Ranieri has found it difficult to make an immediate impact at the helm, having lost three of his four games in charge so far. A 5-0 defeat to Liverpool was followed by an enthralling 5-2 win at Everton, although back-to-back 1-0 losses to Southampton and Arsenal prior to the break have lowered the mood around Vicarage Road.

Occupying 17th spot in the Premier League table, the Hornets host a United side enduring a tough period but still sitting sixth in the standings. Here's who Ranieri could opt for in an attempt to get an unlikely three points.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Ben Foster (GK) - YouTuber Ben Foster is actually quite decent at football too. Who knew? An outstanding performance at the Emirates last time out will have only strengthened his position as number one.

Jeremy Ngakia (RB) - Kiko Femenia was poor last time out, likely resulting in the return of Ngakia for his eighth league appearance of the campaign.

Craig Cathcart (CB) - Has played in all of Watford's fixtures under Ranieri and will likely continue at the heart of defence for the visit of United.

Nicolas N'Koulou (CB) - Hasn't been as prevalent as Cathcart since his arrival, but looks set for a third Hornets appearance this weekend.

Danny Rose (LB) - His experience in the division can be a vital asset for Watford. Hasn't shone too brightly at Vicarage Road so far, but should be in for a seventh league outing of the season.

2. Midfielders

Moussa Sissoko (DM) - Hasn't missed a minute of Premier League action in eight games and has been handed the captain's armband by Ranieri. Will certainly skipper the side in this deeper role once again on Saturday.

Tom Cleverley (CM) - Juraj Kucka was shown two yellows at Arsenal last time out, giving Cleverley a chance to impress.

Ozan Tufan (CM) - Sustained an injury while away with Turkey and will have to undergo a late test to see if he's fit to play against United - if he is able to, however, he'll definitely play.

3. Forwards

Ismaila Sarr (RW) - Absolutely pivotal for Watford, Sarr has already bagged four league goals this campaign and is simply undroppable.

Josh King (ST) - He demonstrated his ability to score with a well-taken hat-trick at Goodison Park, although hasn't scored in any other fixture this season. Needs to be more consistent for his side.

Emmanuel Dennis (LW) - Has had an excellent start to life in Watford, already boasting three goals and three assists in his ten Premier League outings to date.
