Watford predicted lineup vs Man Utd - Premier League

Watford travel to Old Trafford to face Man Utd as they look shake off the disappointment from their 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in midweek.

The defeat leaves Watford four points adrift of safety having played more games than those around them, while Burnley's win over Tottenham saw the Clarets leapfrog Roy Hodgson's side.

Time is running out at the Hornets for the former England manager and he will hope his side will be able to muster a response against Man Utd this weekend.

Here's how the Hornets could shape up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Ben Foster (GK) - The confidence the former Man Utd man instils his defence has been evident in recent displays.

Kiko Femenia (RB) - Four assists for the Spaniard this season, which ranks behind only Josh King and Emmanuel Dennis among Hornets players.

Craig Cathcart (CB) - The 33-year-old has been an ever-present in the Hornets defence.

Samir (CB) - Watford have been searching for consistency in the defensive department this term and the Brazilian is as close to offering that as anyone else.

Hassane Kamara (LB) - Thrown into the team following a Covid-19 outbreak over Christmas and he has nailed down a permanent place due to his performances.

2. Midfielders

Moussa Sissoko (CM) - A fan favourite at Watford and his performances have begun to improve under Hodgson.

Imran Louza (CM) - Hugely talented at just 22 years old, with his ability to progress the ball in midfield.

Tom Cleverley (CM) - More commonly associated with traits of hard work and endeavour, but his ball-playing ability is underappreciated.

3. Forwards

Ismaila Sarr (RW) - Teed up Dennis with a lovely stood-up cross for Watford's winner at Villa Park last weekend.

Josh King (ST) - His hat-trick against Everton was a rare high in an otherwise disappointing goalscoring campaign.

Emmanuel Dennis (LW) - The Nigerian could prove the difference between survival and relegation for the Hornets.
