Watford are reportedly about to make a bid for Leeds United's £2 million rated striker, David Healy in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to a report in the Times, manager Aidy Boothroyd sees the Northern Ireland International as an ideal replacement for striker, Marlon King who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old has been unable to consistently reproduce his outstanding international form for the struggling Coca-Cola Championship club, and despite being their leading goalscorer this term with five goals it is believed new Elland Road boss Dennis Wise may be tempted to part with the player to release funds for team rebuilding.
