Watford v Hull City

Watford manager, Aidy Boothroyd is aiming for a place in the last 16 of this season's Carling Cup competition by confirming he will field a much stronger team than for the previous round against Accrington Stanley.

This will in all probability mean starting places for Chris Powell, Malky Mackay as well as Richard Lee, Matthew Spring, Al Bangura and Anthony McNamee, all of whom featured in the tie against the Cheshire outfit.

Boothroyd may have been tempted to include Darius Henderson in a bid to bolster his confidence, but it is unlikely given the apparent fitness concerns over fellow front man, Marlon King.

Hull City travel South without the cup-tied Nicky Forster and Michael Bridges, while Craig Fagan is also ruled out through a one-match ban, leaving manager Phil Parkinson with little option but to play Jon Parkin as a lone striker.

Steve McPhee, Sam Collins and David Livermore are all long term absentees.
