Watford will talk about the future with Quique Sanchez Flores at end of season

Following his appointment in the summer, Flores led the Hornets to mid-table in the Barclays Premier League and also to the semi-finals of the FA Cup at Wembley, where they were beaten by Crystal Palace

Nevertheless, an inconsistent League run of form over the second half of the season which sees Watford now in 12th place, some 10 points clear of the relegation battle, created speculation Flores' position was under threat

The Hertfordshire club, however, maintain it is very much business as usual for the remainder of the campaign

A statement from Watford released to Press Association Sport read: " As the club has consistently made clear, no decision has been made on the future of Quique Sanchez Flores and certainly no decision will be taken until the club has held in-depth discussions with Quique

Those discussions will only take place once the season has finished

"Quique has a two-year contract and the club would stress it is very happy with the job Quique and his staff have done this season."

Watford host relegated Aston Villa on Saturday looking to record what would be a second win in the last three League matches.
