Watford striker, Ashley Young has decided to remain at Vicarage Road in preference to a move to Premiership relegation rivals, West Ham United.

Watford's board had finally accepted a £9.65m offer from the Hammers, which included add-ons totalling £1.65m, but it is believed Young has turned down the opportunity of a move to East London, and reportedly even rejected a chance to discus personal terms at Upton Park.

The England Under 21 international has been the subject of intense transfer speculation throughout the January transfer window after impressing in the Golden Boys struggle to stay in the top flight, and his decision is bound to alert Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, both of whom are known admirers of the Stevenage born front man.
