Aidy's View: Manchester United (a)

Watford manager, Aidy Boothroyd was quick to concede that his side had been beaten by the better side as Manchester United maintained their six point advantage over Chelsea at the top of the Premiership with a four goal victory at Old Trafford.

“They are a world-class team, the biggest club in the world and it is a privilege to be here in the first place.

We've got less than 4% of their turnover so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised with what happened here tonight.

I hoped we'd get more out of game but realistically we can't compete with the team they had out there, but we kept going and we can walk out here with our heads held high”.

Thoughts then turned to the remaining games this season, and as ever the Bradford born boss was optimistic of his team's chances of survival.

"My belief hasn't changed. I believe we'll stay up - coming here (and losing) changes nothing."

Boothroyd finished by praising the magnificent travelling support.

"It shows what a special club we are. We're 4-0 down, bottom of the league and the fans are still singing my name. It's things like that which make me so proud of who we are."
