"We knew it was going to be difficult because they are fighting for their lives," the Hornets boss said after the 1-0 defeat.
"What impressed me about is that we have stood up and we have had a right good go at it.
"We are disappointed to be going away with nothing, but at this stage of the season it is about results and doing things on a consistent basis - which we didn't do."
