Chesham United 1 Watford Res 4

Watford's reserve side have completed their pre-season programme by returning to winning ways with a crushing away triumph at Southern League Division One South and West Club, Chesham United.

After losing by the odd goal in three at non-league Hayes last week, Dick Bate, the new technical director at the club, had asked for an improved performance, and first half strikes by Dean Hassan, Claude Seanla and a brace by Theo Robinson had the Golden Boys four goals to the good by the interval.

The hosts, managed by former Watford great, Luther Blissett did grab a well worked consolation in the second half through Leon Fisher, but the visitors retained control throughout the remainder of the game to record a resounding victory.

The match also saw 16-year-old scholars, Ewan Clarke and Liam Henderson make their non-competitive debuts, as second hlaf replacements for Joel Grant and Alex Campana.
