 Tenacious tough tackling defender, who initially struggled to make much of an impact after being given his debut by Gianluca Vialli as an 18-year-old in 2001.Sporadic appearances followed in a variety of defensive positions over the next three years, before he finally began to establish himself in the first team during the club's successful fight against relegation in 2004/05. Now firmly ensconced in the right back berth after blossoming under the astute management of Aidy Boothroyd, and made 50 appearances during the 2005/06 season as Watford returned to the Premiership. |
