Boothroyd: Lots Of Positives

The Hornets took a deserved 9th minute lead against last season's play-off finalists but Billy Davies' side fought back to score twice themselves during the first half to claim all three points at Vicarage Road.

"It was a terrific start but the fact we've not played together before or worked together on the training pitch showed," Boothroyd said after the 2-1 defeat.

There's lots of positives. We played the best side in the division and we've ripped them apart in the first 20 minutes.

"We got lots of crosses in and we should have scored more goals but the positives are that from a defensive side we can do an awful lot better."
