Sky Sport’s pundit Chris Kamara has confirmed that Golden Boys manager, Aidy Boothroyd has been selected as Championship manager of the month for February.

Boothroyd inspired his side to four victories in five matches during the period, including a cracking triumph over promotion rivals Sheffield United at Bramall Lane and a similar four goal salvo against Micky Adams’ Coventry City.

The success over Neil Warnock’s Blades in particular impressed the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, which includes former World Cup referee, Jack Taylor on behalf of the Football League, League Manager's Association head, John Barnwell and Chairman Kamara, who said,

“Aidy Boothroyd has done a fantastic job at Watford this season and fully deserves his award.

His side produced a terrific points haul in February to help cement their position in the play-off places. Their win over Sheffield United really made everyone stand up and take note of just what a force they have become in the championship.”
