"I am talking to a couple of clubs and I'm hopeful that I can get a deal sorted out soon," he said.
Hornets manager Adrian Boothroyd said: "He wants to play football and I understand that.
"That is why we have mutually agreed it is in the best interests of both sides to part company now."
