Southampton manager, George Burley has received a massive boost ahead of the Saints last game of the season against Leicester City with the news that he will have £1/4 million to add to his transfer fund after the St Mary's club were the lucky recipients of the Coca-Cola ‘Win a Player' competition.

Leeds United had finished first overall in the draw with Watford in fifth position, but like last season, the rules of the competition stated that the winning club was to be picked randomly, and it was the 18th placed Saints, who came out on top in the end.

The divisional prizes went to promotion chasing Brentford in Coca-Cola League One, and relegation threatened Oxford United in Coca-Cola League Two, both clubs collecting £50, 000.
