Andy D'Urso in Charge at Loftus Road Tomorrow

Last updated : 16 May 2006 By Gary Calder

The well respected Essex born official will be taking charge of his second Watford game inside four weeks after officiating in the disappointing two goal home reversal to now relegated Millwall as recently as Saturday 25 March 2006.

Much earlier in the season D'Urso was also the ‘man in the middle' of the Ipswich Town versus Watford fixture at Portman Road on Saturday 22 October 2006, when a neat second half header by Ashley Young secured all three points for the Golden Boys that put them back inside the division's top six where they have remained ever since.

D'Urso started refereeing as long ago as 1979 before working his way up the ranks and joining the Premiership panel in 1999. Since then the 43-year-old has progressed onto the select group list in 2001, officiating in many high profile games including the Charity Shield clash between Liverpool and Manchester United in 2001.

Andy D'Urso will be joined by Mr. J.Ross and Mr. M Yerby as his assistants at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon.
