Watford 2 Ipswich 1 - Super 'Scoredell' Does it Again …

Stephen McGinn opened the scoring with his second goal of the season, following a long throw into the box the experienced Martin Taylor flicked the ball on for Scottish youngster to volley home in the 41st minute.

Just two minutes later the Golden Boys doubled their lead when Marvin Sordell nicknamed ‘Scoredell’ found the back of the net. Fullback Andrew Taylor crossed for Sordell to get above the Ipswich defence and head home, that was the talented youngster’s sixth goal in his last eight games.

Watford continued to dominate but mid-way through the second half David Norris pulled a goal back when he looped in a header from just outside the box. Malky’s boy had two players on the line who were only able to watch the ball sail into the net.

Ipswich’s substitute Murray managed to get the ball into the net following a Grant Leadbitter free-kick only for the assistant referee to flag for offside. Watford fans must have been worried that their side had once again surrendered a lead but that was not the case.

The victory meant the Hertfordshire side moved up to 3rd after Norwich and Swansea failed to win their games.  Next up is Scunthorpe at home, another side who were expected to struggle but have had a good season.
