Aidy Upset With Defending

The Hornets lost 3-2 to second placed Wolves at Vicarage Road but the defending from both side's echoed the thoughts of visiting boss Mick McCarthy who said in his post match comments that the game could have ended 6-6.

"That's the thing about football, every second is important, every second does count," Watford boss Boothroyd said after the match.

"If you start like we did, you shouldn't give yourselves problems like we did early on, although we did get back into it.

"There's certain things that need to happen to win football matches and we did them intermittently.

"If your going to win consistently then you've got to be able to defend and be solid, keep clean sheets and score goals.

"I know that sounds simple but that's as simple as it gets.

"At the minute we can score goals for fun but we don't defend correctly."
