Jermaine Beckford:
The Golden Boys are reportedly in the running for Wealdstone hotshot, Jermaine Beckford.
The 22-year-old hit man has scored 34 goals for the Ryman League Premier Division club this season, and has been attracting the interest of Crystal Palace and Yeovil Town amongst others in recent weeks.
The Somerset outfit have already had a bid of £50, 000 turned down for the player, and it is expected that a fee in the region of £200, 000 will be required to secure his services.
However, with Darius Henderson currently suspended until after the Derby County fixture this Saturday, Golden Boys’ manager, Aidy Boothroyd may be tempted to draft in Beckford as cover for the promotion run-in.
