Watford boss, Aidy Boothroyd has been quick to reaffirm his immediate commitment to the Golden Boys by stating that he remains fully focused on the play-offs, in the wake of media speculation linking him to the upcoming vacant manager's position at Charlton Athletic.

“It is the first I have heard about it, and it is very flattering,"

"It is a credit to the players and staff, as well as the chairman and board who support me.

"But it's nothing to get excited about. I'm focused on the play-offs, and this will not turn my head."

Alan Curbishley announced last Saturday that he intends to stand down at the Valley after 15 years in charge of the South London Premiership club come the end of the season.
