Carling Cup and the Championship fixtures

The Football League will reveal the 2009 / 2010 fixture list at 10am on Wednesday June 17th. Watford can look forward to a couple of trips to the North East with the arrival of Newcastle and Middlesbrough from the Premier League and a couple of shorter trips to Leicester and Peterborough who come up from League 1.
The draw for the first round of the Carling Cup takes place on Tuesday June 16th. Watford are one of the seeded clubs in the Southern half of the draw.
The new league season kicks off on Saturday August 8th and the first round of the Carling Cup takes place week commencing August 10th.
The FA Cup 3rd this coming season is on the weekend of Saturday January 2nd, 2010.
