Doyley Signs Contract Extension

Consistent full back, Lloyd Doyley has become the latest Golden Boy to sign an extension to his existing contract.

The 23-year-old's existing deal was due to expire in 2007 but he will now remain at the club until the summer of 2008.

The career of the Whitechapel born player has blossomed under the management of Aidy Boothroyd, and after making the right back berth his own during last season's triumphant Coca-Cola Championship promotion campaign he had no hesitation in agreeing to extend his stay at Vicarage Road.

β€œIt's good to know that I've got another three years as a Watford player and hopefully they'll all be in the Premiership.

I'm glad it's all sorted in good time because we all want to concentrate on the league now.

Last year was a great year, everyone did well and the lads deserve their rewards.”

Doyley made 50 appearances for Watford last season, including four as a playing substitute to take his overall career tally as a Golden Boy to 139.
