Fantasy Premier League tips: Gameweek 16

The Premier League games come thick and fast this time of year, making it hard to keep on top of your FPL team.

Thanks to another pesky Friday night game, the deadline for Gameweek 16 is 18:30 on Friday 10 December, so you still have time to make some last-minute changes to your squad.

Here are 90min's top tips for players you should be looking at this week and beyond...

1. Bukayo Saka (£6.2m)

Bukayo Saka rarely puts a foot wrong for Arsenal and is one of the best low-cost midfield options around.

What makes it such a good time to bring him in is the Gunners' upcoming fixture list. West Ham (H) aside, Arsenal's next four games look very attractive, with matches against Southampton, Leeds and Norwich to come during the festive period.

Saka's importance to the team means he's unlikely to be rotated too often as well. Go on, get him in.

2. Mason Mount (£7.5m)

After some time away from the field due to dental problems, Mason Mount has returned with a vengeance in recent weeks.

Mount has registered a goal and an assist in the Blues' last two matches, returning point hauls of 12 and 13 respectively.

Next up for Chelsea is a visit from Leeds, before they face games against Everton, Wolves and Aston Villa. We like the look of that fixture list.

3. Jamie Vardy (£10.7m)

Leicester City may be enduring an infuriating season, but Jamie Vardy is continuing to score at an alarming rate.

Vardy is just one strike away from bringing up double figures for the season and although he started on Thursday night, Leicester's burning desire for a win against Newcastle means he should retain his spot this weekend.

With James Maddison starting to fire again and the Magpies awful at the back, City's number nine could be in for an enjoyable afternoon.

4. Emmanuel Dennis (£5.7m)

With Ivan Toney ruled out of Brentford vs Watford, you might be scrambling around to find an alternative budget striking option.

Look no further than Hornets' star Emmanuel Dennis, who arrived in the Premier League with a reputation as a bit of a trouble maker. As it turns out, the only trouble he's created has been for opposition defences.

Dennis already has six goals and as many assists for the Hornets this season and he will be looking to add to his tally against a struggling Brentford side.

5. Jarrod Bowen (£6.5m)

West Ham are, quite famously, massive. A big reason for their recent success is the performances of Jarrod Bowen.

Liverpool are big fans of the hard-working forward and FPL managers should be too. Bowen has been consistently picking up goals and assists all season and against Chelsea last Saturday he managed one of each.

There should be plenty more where that came from too.

6. Demarai Gray (£5.5m)

If you are looking for a properly cheap midfielder, Demarai Gray is your man.

Costing less than half what Bruno Fernandes does right now, the pair are separated by just two FPL points. Not bad value, that.

Everton's game against Crystal Palace this week is very winnable too, and with Richarlison back and some of the Toffees other injured stars nearing returns, Rafa Benitez's side could be set to turn their season around.

That is great news for Gray owners.
