Forest v Watford. Match preview

The winger was a late omission from the squad to face West Brom at the weekend with a minor knock and remains a doubt.

He joins defenders James Perch (shin), Julian Bennett (knee) and Kelvin Wilson (ankle) in the treatment room, while centre-half Luke Chambers completes a three-match suspension for his red card on the opening day of the season.

Boss Billy Davies is almost certain to ask midfielder Chris Cohen to line-up at left-back again but he may be tempted to make changes in attack.

Dele Adebola and Joe Garner started against West Brom but Robert Earnshaw, Dexter Blackstock and David McGoldrick offer the Scot other options.

Earnshaw in particular will be keen to atone for his penalty miss against the Baggies.

Watford will check on the fitness of midfielder Don Cowie ahead of the trip.

The Scot was ruled out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United with a hamstring injury and will be given a late test.

Striker Nathan Ellington made his first competitive start for the Hornets in 15 months at Bramall Lane and will be hoping to get the nod again.

Fellow frontman Tommy Smith is expected to figure again despite the ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

Young forward Marvin Sordell made his debut as a second-half substitute at the weekend and should be at least on the bench again as Watford go in search of their first league win of the season.
