Foster Keen To Remain At The Vic

Last updated : 24 May 2006 By Gary Calder

Manchester United goalkeeper, Ben Foster has confirmed he would like to extend his stay at Vicarage Road.

Signed on a season long loan from the Red Devils, Foster has blossomed as has all the Watford side throughout the campaign, culminating in the Golden Boys stunning play-off success on Sunday.

Foster is expected to discuss his future with Sir Alex Ferguson soon, after joining in the team's victory parade around the rain drenched streets of Watford last night.

"Obviously I'd love to have a crack at the Premiership with Watford and if I get the chance to stay on I'd love to help the club stay up and I think they can definitely stay up," said Foster.

At this stage of my career it would be wonderful to be playing regular football in the top flight. I definitely think Watford can stay up, whether I'm here or not remains to be seen at the moment."
