Leading goal scorer and regular penalty taker Marlon King has explained why he did not take Watford's first half spot kick against Millwall on Saturday.

“Gavin had been taking penalties in training, so it was agreed that he would take it”

However, the Golden Boys skipper saw his effort saved easily by Lions keeper, Andy Marshall bringing the number of penalties missed by Watford this season to three from four attempts, leaving the engaging King to reflect,

“If Gavin doesn't want the next one, I'll be at the head of the queue to take it”

"But that's gone now, and we need to focus on the game at Crystal Palace on Friday."
