"Lloyd Doyley came in centre-back and played really superbly. Wigan's strikers are the best pairing in this division. They're a difficult pair to deal with and we kept them subdued," he said after the game at Vicarage Road.
"I could not have asked more from the players. We've had two home games and only picked up one point which looks bad.
"But I'm really pleased with the performances because although we haven't scored in either of the games we have created chances and if we keep getting in there the goals will come."
