Manchester City vs Watford: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Manchester City will aim to keep on the front foot in the Premier League title race as they host Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's men are fresh from a 3-0 victory over Brighton in midweek, bouncing back from a disappointing 3-2 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Liverpool to earn a fourth win in their last six league outings.

The Hornets are, by contrast, on a run of five losses in their previous six Premier League fixtures, with defeats to Liverpool, Leeds and Brentford in their last three all but mathematically condemning Roy Hodgson's side to relegation this term.

Here's 90min's preview of this one.

Manchester City team news

Both John Stones and Nathan Ake looked to have picked up knocks during their side's 3-0 win over the Seagulls on Wednesday night, so Ruben Dias should be set for a much-anticipated return to the starting XI.

Elsewhere, Kyle Walker is once more a likely absentee for Guardiola's side with an ankle issue that he sustained at Atletico Madrid recently.

Watford team news

Hodgson must once again make do without a few names, although his available squad is pretty much the same as last time out.

Cucho Hernandez is the notable absentee for the visiting side, with Kwadwo Baah, Nicolas N'Koulou, Francisco Sierralta and William Troost-Ekong joining him on the sidelines.

Manchester City vs Watford prediction

Given the Hornets' woeful form and their lowly position in the drop zone, anything but a win in current circumstances can be considered a catastrophe for this Man City side.

With Liverpool yapping away at their heels, every game is a must-win for City and, while no Premier League game is easy, Guardiola's squad is stacked with the kind of genius that makes laborious afternoons - as Watford are bound to try and make it for the hosts - worthwhile.

A home win is a safe bet here.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Watford
