Playing his first match since the play-off final at the Millennium Stadium, Marlon King's 12th appearance for his adopted Jamaica ended in a crushing defeat to World Cup hopefuls Ghana at Leicester City's Walkers Stadium yesterday.

The Watford striker started the game but was replaced after 82 minutes as the Reggae Boyz lost 4-1, despite a goal by Charlton Athletics' Jason Euell.

The friendly international was being used by the Africans as part of their World Cup preparations which will see them face the United States, Czech Republic and Italy in Germany.

King will now be hoping to add to his seven international goals against Sven-Goran Eriksson's England at Old Trafford on Saturday.
