Although rested for the victory at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday captain, Gavin Mahon retains the full backing of manager, Aidy Boothroyd,
"Gavin has played a number of games for us this season, which was why I decided to give him a breather on Saturday".
Perhaps one of the unsung hero's of Watford's barnstorming season, the 29-year-old former Brentford man's never say die attitude on the pitch has not been lost on Boothroyd who continued,
"He is very influential in midfield, and he needed a break - but he is a vital player for us."
