Smith could be target for Reading

The new Reading boss is thought to have to balance the books by selling star players like Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt and he may then come looking for players he's worked with like Tommy Smith.

Player of the Year Smith has one year left on his current Watford contract so would attract a fee this summer. He was the Hornets top scorer with 17 last season.
