League One leaders Brighton produced an FA Cup upset as Ashley Barnes's goal sent them into the fifth round at the expense of Championship side Watford. Brighton went in front after 16 minutes when Barnes drilled in a shot that Watford keeper Rene Gilmartin let squirm through his grasp.
After the break Watford's Martin Taylor scuffed his shot after a good one-two, before Stephen McGinn rifled over.
Danny Graham shot into the side-netting late on for Watford.
