The Yorkshire Evening Post newspaper is reporting Watford Football Club has acceded to the now customary agreement between Coca-Cola Championship Play-off Finalists, that the losers of the Millennium Stadium showdown should pocket all the money generated from the game.

The defeated club can therefore still expect to leave Cardiff with around £1.3m and mercurial Leeds United chairman, Ken Bates is quoted in the paper as saying,

"We've agreed with Watford, as is tradition in this game, that because the winners get so much money the team that loses will keep the money from the final."

With the game called “the richest game of football in the world“ due to the monetary rewards on offer through reaching the highest level in English Football, it is estimated that Watford may benefit by up to £30m should they be victorious on Sunday.
