Watford predicted lineup vs Burnley - Premier League

Watford are looking to put some breathing room between themselves and the Premier League relegation zone when they travel north to Burnley on Wednesday night.

Claudio Ranieri has overseen a rollercoaster run of results since taking over in November but now is the time for a degree of consistency as fixtures come thick and fast.

Here's the starting XI the manager could pick...

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Daniel Bachmann (GK) - Continues to deputise for Ben Foster, but yet to concede fewer than two goals in any game so far.

Kiko Femenia (RB) - Has benefitted from Ranieri's arrival and has played 90 minutes in six successive games since the start of November.

Francisco Sierralta (CB) - Still potentially a doubt but could be back after resuming full training following a thigh injury.

Craig Cathcart (CB) - The constant at the back this season. It probably hasn't helped having a revolving door of centre-back partners.

Adam Masina (LB) - Could be back from injury after missing the last two games. An upgrade on Danny Rose.

2. Midfielders

Tom Cleverley (CM) - Has started five Premier League games in a row since impressing against Manchester United but usually doesn't last 90 minutes.

Juraj Kucka (CM) - Set for a second successive start, having previously come on at half-time against Manchester City recently.

Moussa Sissoko (CM) - Has taken over the captaincy since Ranieri was appointed and has been an ever-present during that time.

3. Forwards

Emmanuel Dennis (RW) - Watford's most consistent goal threat in recent weeks, racking up four goals in his last five appearances.

Joshua King (ST) - Five goals to his name this season but none in the last three games. Could return to the 'number nine' role after playing wide.

Joao Pedro (LW) - Could come back into the starting lineup after his run of recent starts came to an end against Brentford.
