Watford Football Club has this evening revealed they have signed a further three players ahead of the January transfer window closure at midnight tonight (Wednesday).

Joining Aidy Boothroyd's relegation threatened squad are Johan Cavalli, Cedric Avinel and Douglas Rinaldi.

After recently securing the services of Lee Williamson and Gareth Williams, the Bradford born boss has added to his midfield options with the captures of Cavalli, a 25-year-old Frenchmen who arrives on an 18-month deal, having left Ligue 2 club Istres on a free transfer, and Rinaldi, signed on a six-month loan from Brazilian side, Veranopolis EC.

Avinel joins from Creteil FC, and is a powerful 20-year-old central-defender.

The trio bring the total of newcomers to Vicarage Road since the turn of the year to eight, Moses Ashikodi, Will Hoskins and Steve Kabba being the others.
