Watford has completed the signing of promising young defender, Sheku Kamara from Premiership rivals, Charlton Athletic.

The Lambeth born player, 18, has spent the last five years playing in the Addicks' Reserve and Academy sides, but moves to Vicarage Road following a successful trial at the club late last season, during which he made two appearances for Gary Smith's Reserves, and three for the Under 18 side.

After securing a professional contract with the Golden Boys, a clearly delighted Kamara is determined to make the most of his opportunity as he explained to WatfordFC.

“I've come to Watford to prove myself. My target for the season is to make a few appearances for the first team after establishing myself in the reserves”.
