Watford Versus Crystal Palace

With a three goal cushion from Saturday's first leg at Selhurst Park, Watford is expected to retain the majority of the squad that traveled to South London at the weekend.

However, experienced defender Clarke Carlisle is close to a return after picking up a hip injury towards the end of the regular season and may displace Adrian Mariappa on the bench, while French forward, Hamuer Bouazza is also closing in on full fitness after being sidelined with a foot injury over the last couple of months of the campaign.

Iain Dowie's Crystal Palace, aiming to become the first side to overturn a three goal first leg deficit and reach a record fifth play-off final, is duty bound to adopt an attacking policy, which could mean a starting place for Dougie Freedman, together with Andrew Johnson, named as standby striker by England manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson for the World Cup, and Clinton Morrison.

German striker Marco Reich, an unused substitute at the weekend, is also pushing for a first team recall but Finnish midfielder, Aki Rihilahti is a definite non starter after aggravating a calf problem in training on Monday.
