Watford team news

As the season creeps into the final furlong, Hodgson at least has a heartily stocked squad to select from. While the Germany Under-19 international Kwadwo Baah continues his recovery from an ankle injury that has dogged him since autumn, Nicolas N'Koulou lacks match fitness after four-and-a-half months out with a hamstring issue.

Jesse Marsch hasn't been blessed with quite the same lack of fitness concerns. However, Leeds' injury malaise has tentatively reduced in recent weeks.

Long-term absentees Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips returned from four-month injury layoffs against Southampton on the weekend. However, both Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts are unlikely to feature again for the remainder of the season.

The youthful and useful Jamie Shackleton is scheduled to return from a calf injury in mid-April. Defenders Leo Hjelde and Junior Firpo could have shaken off knee problems to play some role this weekend.

Watford vs Leeds score prediction

Watford not only have the worst home record in the Premier League - collecting a pitiful seven points from 14 matches at Vicarage Road this season - but are the worst home side in all four tiers of English professional football.

Leeds aren't exactly confident travellers - only four top-flight teams have inferior records on the road. However, Marsch has been steadying the ship by dialling back the all-out-attack mindset of his inherited squad.

This meeting between one side trying to slow down and the other desperately searching for any momentum could end in deadlock.

Prediction: Watford 1-1 Leeds
