The Hornets are expected to complete the loan signing of the Wales international today (Thursday) in time for Jones to play in the Boxing Day away clash against Reading.

Manager Ray Lewington had ben keen to bring in a keeper on loan after the facial injury to Richard Lee in last weekends game against Coventry means the young keeper will be sidelined for around two months.

Lewington has managed to persuade the 37-year-old veteran keeper into spending an initial one month loan deal at Vicarage Road and he will be eligible to play in the Hornets Carling Cup semi final game against Liverpool as he didn't become cup-tied at Wolves.
